So another season has ended. It was a very demanding 2020! COVID-19 challenged all of us. Our programs were stressed balancing the safety of our membership with the requirements of our governments. Alex Jackson with SOLO, JB Swan with Road Racing, Paul Omichinski with Time Trials, and Scott Carlson in Rally worked tirelessly along with their teams, our venues, and the Board of Directors to put on events starting in June. Without their efforts and that of their teams, none of the events would have occurred. On behalf of our entire club, I want to thank them for all of their work.

Even though most of our competition season has completed, that doesn’t mean that we are going to hibernate for the winter. The 2020 NER Winter iRacing season has begun. Thursday nights through December at 7pm NER will host virtual competitions on iRacing for your enjoyment. The previous virtual season was well received by all who participated, and we look forward to seeing you at this seasons events. Click the link for more details.

Also, our Annual Meeting is quickly approaching. Scheduled to be held on-line on Saturday, January 9th, we will be scheduling Town Hall sessions for each of our programs, along with a speaker from National to give us an update on the state of the club at that level. Finally, we will be holding our Business Meeting and seating the new Board. Please mark your calendars. Information on times, content, format, and how to attend will be coming out shortly.

Finally, we will be electing our new Board over the coming months. The election will be help electronically again this year on Motorsports Reg. Watch your email for the slate of candidates as well as election details. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board for their hard work and support over the last year. Best of luck to all who are running for a position, and thank you for volunteering your time and knowledge to help steer the club.

As we continue to battle the Covid-19 virus, I ask you to keep all of our fellow members in your thoughts and best wishes. Hopefully next season will hold fewer challenges for us to be able to have #funwithcars!!!
