NER iRacing Returns for the Winter
Don’t let winter keep you off the track! The NER team’s winter iRacing league kicked off this week. 6 weeks of virtual wheel-to-wheel action is on the schedule to keep you busy between now and the end of the year.
Joining the fun is easy. Check out the minimum requirements below needed to participate. SCCA also offers members a 3-month trial membership – look for the promo code in your new member or renewal packet.
Competition Details
All races begin promptly at 7:00 pm. The cars available to race include a BMW Gt4, Porsche GT4 and the Free Global MX-5 cup car.

What’s Needed?
All that is needed to participate is:
- Computer that can run iRacing (their website has a system tester)
- Wheel and pedals set
- Subscription to the service (SCCA provides 3 free months to get you started)
- Purchase the tracks on the schedule.
Computer Specs:
- OS: Windows 7 64 bit or newer.
- RAM: 8 gb or greater.
- Graphics Card: Dedicated 2gb of memory or greater.
- Computer Memory: 10gb of free space, or greater.
Register with iRacing
Sign up on the iRacing website – selecting your membership type. Then from the “Leagues” tab on the top menu, search for and select “NER SCCA” and add your affiliation to the region in the notes.
Participate on Discord
Whether racing or just spectating, NER members can log on to the NER Discord site to chat and comment with all the racers.
