Special Election of New NER BOD Members

At the end of June, the New England Region Board of Directors held a special session to nominate and confirm two new BOD members to replace the seats vacated by Bob Anderson and Luis Rivera. During that meeting, Andrew Benagh and Jennifer Ferreira accepted the positions and joined the BOD. Please welcome Andrew and Jen to our leadership team!

Jennifer Ferreira

I am honored to serve on the New England Region Board of Directors for the remainder of Bob Anderson’s term.  Over the past few years I have become more involved with the workings of the club and felt with my profession as a medical provider and personal racing experience, I could be of service to the NER membership. My long term goal is to enter the steward’s program with the intention of becoming a safety steward and to develop a concussion protocol for the SCCA using some of the principals utilized by other professional racing organizations.  I currently race in the Spec Racer Ford class in Club Racing and I hope to become more involved in the other programs our club has to offer.

Andrew Benagh

I have been born and raised out side of Boston and had a love of cars and racing my whole life. I am a 20 year member of New England Region with a focus in the Club Road Racing Program. I am currently a Junior at University of Massachusetts Lowell where I am studying History. While at Umass I have spent time on the Formula SAE team where I focused in helping to manage the teams sponsorships.
I look forward to helping contribute ideas to the board to help continue to be a premier motorsports club in New England for many years to come. Although I have been primarily involved in Road Racing as a Volunteer, I am committed to helping support everyone with their #funwithcars and helping the next generation to be able to find their own. Thank you for the Board for their nomination as well.
